Norway salary after tax
Calculate your net take-home pay in Norway for 2026. Includes income tax, social insurance, and all deductions.
Norway uses a dual-base tax system. Alminnelig inntekt (ordinary income) is taxed at a flat 22% after deductions, while personinntekt (personal income) is subject to trinnskatt, a five-step progressive bracket tax from 1.7% to 17.6%. Employees also pay 7.9% trygdeavgift (national insurance). The minstefradrag (standard deduction of 46% of income, max ~109,950 NOK) reduces the 22% base but does not reduce the trinnskatt base, which means high earners cannot deduct their way out of the bracket tax.
